My scars tell a story of resilience, not defeat
I want to share my journey with you. I have faced sickness my whole life while raising three kids on my own. There were times when I thought I wouldn’t make it. I even tried to end my own life more than once. But something kept me going. I believe it’s God, guiding me to give back all the blessings I have received.
I live with an autoimmune disease that has left scars all over my body. But those scars don’t tell you the battles I have fought. They don’t show the nights I spent in pain or the moments I thought I wouldn’t see another day.
While still fighting for myself.
Despite everything, I am here, standing strong. And I am determined to use my experiences to help others. Over the past twenty years, I have had to fight for every bit of progress I have made. Every bit of knowledge I have gained about my illness, about resilience, about life, it’s all been hard-won.
